The unique handwriting and workmanship from our artisanal producers is what makes us.
Each season Habitat works with a series of small workshops and craftsmen and for SS17 we have given a particular focus to tableware. Perdita, which has become a firm favourite during its creation, has a dark brown hand applied ‘splatter’ onto a cool matt white surface. This method of application means the pattern on each piece will be different and the creative selection of which individual plate you prefer is up to you.
The new Rohani collection requires considerable skill to create as the cobalt and white glazes are hand applied to the black base. Each pool of colour is carefully swirled to get the right effect. Again, each design is slightly different and unique in its appearance.
Finally, Amera is our latest and most dramatic reactive glaze story with great depth to its turquoise colour and individual finish. Made in Portugal and exclusive to Habitat, the stoneware design has a gently organic shape and its dinner and side plates have a rimmed edge.
