Clare Woods (Born 1972), contemporary British painter currently exhibiting this year at Hepworth Gallery, Wakefield and Southampton Art Gallery in The Unquiet Head and The Dark Matter, is an exciting and rising star.

Her landscapes of tangled vegetation, rocks and matter are largely epic in scale and allude to the darker, truer side of nature that is at odds with her dynamic sense of colour.
