  • Experience shows that to succeed in Habitat the right attitude is more important than the right qualifications and for this reason we don’t have ‘formal’ trainee or graduate intake schemes for external candidates.  We welcome applicants from a highly diverse range of experiences and qualifications. For us what is important is that you possess a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Learning and Developing

  • We consider our people to be our best asset and realise that everyone works better when they are valued, trained and having fun.  Everyone who joins Habitat goes through a structured induction tailored to the needs of the individual role.
  • Throughout your working life we will offer you on-going development and coaching, while some of this will be classroom based much of our coaching and development is conducted ‘on the job’.   We also strongly believe in empowerment and promote ‘self managed learning’ so everyone is encouraged to take responsibility for ensuring they receive the development they need in order to achieve their goals.
  • Annual Performance Review

  • At Habitat we know the importance of setting the standards and giving each individual the support to achieve their potential.  Therefore everyone receives an annual Performance Review, in Habitat we call this the 'Development Talk'. 
  • Your Performance Review gives you and your manager the opportunity to openly discuss your performance, agree what has gone well and areas for development.  You will also agree a Personal Development Plan (PDP) which will support you to get the most from your working life.
