WHAT MATERIALS ARE HABITAT POTS AND PANS AVAILABLE IN?
You might ask whether you need a standard baking dish for that casserole or paella, or if an oven-to-table dish is more appropriate? Which materials are easiest to clean? Which look most attractive on theWell, at Habitat we take all such possibilities into consideration, providing different types of cookware, all fit for purpose across a number of kitchen activities.
On one hand, we craft a range of cookware that is made from cast aluminium, as well as a premium stainless steel selection - both are non-stick ranges, with several different types of pans included. Not that we’re showing off or anything, but every pot is developed by a factory in Spain that specialises in professional cookware. In fact, they are even supplying the pans for the Spanish version of Masterchef. We think this makes them the ultimate cookware & utensils for any chef and kitchen.
We also boast a range of oven to tableware that is presented in various colours and patterns, ensuring they add to your dining table’s attractive aesthetic, rather than distracting from it. From ceramic cookware to terracotta and enamel, there’s something for everyone - and a pot for every recipe. Simply cook in the oven and serve straight away - just remember to place on a protected surface, such as a trivet, in order to avoid any mishaps.
No matter its composition, all of our oven to tableware pots are suitable for high oven temperatures up to 180 degrees, even those more decorative varieties. Our range really is the epitome of style meets function.
BIG OR SMALL; WHAT IS THE BEST FOR YOU?
When it comes to the issue of size, it’s best to bear in mind that matching the size of pan to size of the burner is actually one of the most important things to consider, prior to cooking.
Why is this? Well, in order for you to create the right temperature for cooking, the actual cooking surface must be an even temperature. If parts of the bottom of the pan reach beyond, say, an electric element or gas flame, then all will not be heated. There could even be the risk of a 100 degree difference in temperature between the edge of the pan and the centre, depending on the actual size of the pan.
In addition to this, if your pan doesn’t cover all the element then you are wasting energy, not to mention exposing yourself to a potential burn. Be safe. Be green. Size it up.
HOW ELSE CAN YOU DECORATE YOUR TABLE?
To help showcase your beautiful new, oven to table cookware, then it pays to think about accessorising. After all, while some tend to view the dining room table as something to only decorate come Christmas, we love going to town on it all year round. It doesn’t take much to add character.
