Patrick Heron (1920-1999), British painter, internationally exhibited and in public and private collections worldwide. When you think of colour field painting, it is hard not to call to mind the stunning paintings that Heron is so famous for.

His paintings of intensely rich colour fields and suspended imagery, distinct to him and inspired by nature have a quality of perfect pitch and are simply sublime. It is hard to look and not to feel at one with the beauty that he extracts from the world around us.
