Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy fail-safe cooking with excellent results I have used a chicken brick for the last 40 years and love it. Just remember to soak it initially and put it in when you turn the oven on. This is such an easy, healthy and clean way to cook. I’ve used mine to cook other meats and have also put potatoes, onions, carrots in - I love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brittle brick The first delivery both halves of the brick was cracked or pieces broken off. The customer service rep was very good and another brick arrived several days later in good condition. The brick is not very robust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Purchase I had one of the originals, bought in the 70s from a Habitat store in Liverpool. Had to replace it after a house move as loved it so much. This time bought from Habitat in Manchester. Sadly both stores now closed, so bought this one on line for my daughter in law, who loves it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No mess and the best roast chicken! Honestly, you need to get the chicken brick. The chicken does not shrink and is really succulent. No mess in the oven either. I throw in big chunks of chopped veg to cook at the same time. I would add that instructions are not entirely clear that you need to steep the brick in cold water before every use not just first use. Steep in cold water for about 10-15 minutes, dry off, chicken and veg in, dribble of oil and into a cold oven. It takes about 20 minutes additional cooking time because it goes into a cold oven. The cold water steep and the cold oven prevents the terracotta from breaking and the cold water retained in the brick creates the moisture for cooking.
