Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jacob Teal bench I loved the look of this bench and the teal colour. The size was also perfect for where I wanted it to go so I waited for a new batch to come in and went ahead and ordered ignoring the reviews about the poor fitting legs. I hoped that the manufacturers had taken the criticisms on board and made the necessary alteration to the design. No such thing. They were indeed poor fitting!!!! It took strong blows from a hammer to get them anywhere near fitting the base and I couldn’t get them to fit flush for love nor money! If you aren’t a perfectionist in such matters then this should not put you off buying this piece of furniture - especially in a sale- if you are handy with a hammer. It is also worth noting that we found it too low for use at the dining table when tested but it still looks good and is useful to provide extra seating.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Looker but... It looks lovely and I love the design but the assembly is tricky. Putting on the legs is tough work and tools provided not enough. One of the screws lost its grip. If a lesser person than me was to put them on then they may struggle and give up and I am a non DIYer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as high quality as price would suggest It looks good on the outside, however holes underneath for the legs and the way the legs are to attach is rough and shoddy. Holes poorly drilled and attaching legs is a pain. Once on though, it is solid and strong. Considering the price they could set it up cleaner and to a higher standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completes the room! We had been searching and searching for a seat/storage option for our bedroom, and this was it! Once the legs were in, it made the room!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bench, love the colour Great looking bench, well built and comfy to sit on as occasional seating for extra guests. Gas strut lid works really well too. Assembly is simply enough if you have your own tools, don’t bother trying to use the little Allen key supplied with it. Although it will work, i imagine it will take you ages and be rather frustrating. I used a little ratchet socket set, after getting the screws started with a battery drill/driver. They are located quite close to the inside face of the bench carcass, hence needing to switch to the socket set. Very sturdy once finished. I would highly recommend, great addition to any lounge, bedroom or hallway. Good extra storage capacity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not what we had expected & legs don't attach We loved the colour of this storage bench and the legs were a lovely shape and type of wood but that's where the positives stop sadly. The lid doesn't open fully because of the hydraulic hinges - which were good quality - but that isn't much use in a linen/storage box as it limits what you can fit into it. When we went to attach the legs there were several pre-drilled holes so it wasn't clear which ones were the right ones to use. Trying to push the legs onto the joins was impossible, we tried using a rubber mallet and still couldn't get them to go on with anything less than a two inch gap. The nuts are too close to the edges of the unit to be able to use the allen key provided so we had to use a screwdriver/allen key but even then weren't able to get the legs to get anywhere near being flush with the base and the nuts were very cheap and so threaded when any sort of (needed) pressure/turning occurred. We have now returned this item and fed all this back to Habitat customer service. Shame as it looked exactly what we needed.
