After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Metal 4 Light Bathroom Flush Ceiling Light - Chrome: The globes are approximately 10cm in diameter. From the end of the bulb holder to the edge of the shade is approximately 5.5cm, so the part of the bulb that sticks out of the bulb holder must be no longer than 5.5cm.

It is classed as a bathroom light as it has an IP Rating of 44 which means it offers protection against solid objects larger than 1mm (fine tools and wires, nails, screws, larger insects and other potentially invasive small objects) and protection against splashing water from any direction, tested for a minimum of 10 minutes with an oscillating spray (limited ingress permitted with no harmful effects).
Other areas of the house do not necessarily require this level of protection.
