Faulty so will be returning them.
I bought these just before Christmas to replace old ones that had stopped working. I plugged them in to check they worked, which they did, before unraveling them to wrap around my tree. Unfortunately after I’d put about half of the string on the tree I found a broken light with bare wires exposed, and another bulb not working so didn’t want to take the risk with them. I will be returning them in the New Year to the store I collected them from near my workplace. I would have been happy with them otherwise as I liked the colour and brightness, plus the length of them suited the size of my tree.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat 480 Warm White LED Christmas Tree Lights: The transformer controls the lights. No remote control is required. The mode can be changed using the button on the transformer.

“ Hold the button on the transformer for a few seconds until the lights turn off, this indicates that the timer is off. You then just need to tap the button to turn the lights back on to the desired pattern. To turn the timer back on do the same again but this time the lights will turn on. ”
