Limited pathfinder.
These looked great in the planter outside the kitchen window, but as apathfinder these are limited as to where you can put them, as there is very little cable between each candy cane. You would need several packs to line a path and access to several sufficient sockets for multiple packs. There is sufficient cable to plug it in, but if there was more cable between the lights, it would give you more opportunity to place them around the garden.

Large candy canes - good value for the price

good - but cable between too short
nice and bright, but the cable length between the canes is rather short. Would love to have spread them out more.

Perfect for what I wanted
Can't go wrong at this price. They worked fine and no issues with the weather. Sturdy and stayed firmly in the ground. At this price a real bargain.

Cannot stop the timer and have them on full time
I stupidly threw out the instructions as soon as I receive these because I thought they would be self-explanatory. However, I cannot work out how to switch the timer option off and have them on for 24 hours as a time if desired. I can’t see anything in the online description which says either way, but I had just assumed that there would be an option to have them on the whole time if required. I have sent in a question that haven’t received an answer as yet. All I seem to be able to do is have the little blue light glowing on the plug which means the timer is on or as soon as I make the light go off on the plug the whole set switches off. Another small point which I obviously realised when I bought them from the picture is when lit up you can barely see the red and white striped candy cane effect and they really just look red all over. I have seen some other smaller ones in other peoples gardens where the white stripe is much more obvious which looks better.

Short wire spaces
I bought these just before Christmas and they are exactly what I wanted except the wire between each candy cane is so short that all four only reach about half a metre when fully stretched out, not sure therefore how that can be classed as path finder lights unless you have a very short path. They do light up well though and are a good standing size.

Looks good
I brought this to add to the Christmas decorations and it’s a great addition that looks great.

Can't seperate them as much as we'd like
Happy with the price but the length of cable is short between each candy cane. This means we can't spread them out as much as we had planned to. We've had a few sets of candy canes and they've never been this close together.

Hi there,

Thanks for using Q&A
NO, you CANNOT connect 2 packs of these lights together, as they have NOT been manufactured to work joined up. They MUST ONLY BE RUN FROM THEIR OWN PLUG-TRANSFORMER THAT IS ATTACHED TO EACH INDIVIDUAL SET OF LIGHTS! Or you risk an ELECTRICAL FIRE HAZARD!
ONLY lights SPECIFICALLY ADVERTISED as -CONNECTABLE LIGHTS- can be joined. And each manufacturer will sell connectors, transformers, cables etc, to buy separately, and SPECIFICALLY designed for their brand of lights. Search online for info.
Hello clara,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pack of 4 Christmas Candy Canes Path Finder Lights:
“ They are indeed connected together by default. They are unable to be separated. ”
Thanks for using Q&A.
Solar lights are ineffective in December, as the days are too short, and there is very little, if any, direct ie bright sunshine, at xmas, when the days are the shortest of the year! This is why solar lights are usually sold in spring and summer, when there is lots of direct sun light to charge the batteries in solar lights. Lights sold for xmas are normally either run off mains electric, or batteries. Batteries run out quite quickly, and are not suitable above a certain amount of lights.
Hello Fliss,
The supplier has advised the following for the Pack of 4 Christmas Candy Canes Path Finder Lights:
The lead wire is 5 metres only. It comes with a 3-pin plug on the end of the transformer and you'd plug this into the mains. It must be plugged in indoors, not to an outdoor socket.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using Q&A.
