Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know both mattresses are very similar, 22cm in depth.
The main difference between the two, is the Octasmart Hybrid Mattress, has a standard layer of foam as the top cover, where as the Octasmart Hybrid Plus Mattress, has a layer of memory foam, so it is slightly softer version.

This mattress is a standard kingsize mattress so will fit a kingsize base. I cannot personally advise on whether it is good for back and hip pain but according to the reviews it has helped a lot of people. The description states that it will comfort and cradle and support you right through the night.
