The Habitat Raymond Wide Bookcase gives you display space and storage that fits your home office or living room without taking over. It's got Scandi-inspired lines with a warm wood effect finish that works with most room styles. There's space for books, plants, photo frames, and all those bits you want on show. Four fixed shelves spread the storage across the width, so you can organise by height or keep things grouped together. The rich oak-effect finish adds warmth to neutral walls and sits nicely alongside desks or sofas.
The shelves are fixed in place, so there's no adjusting or brackets to fuss with. Each shelf holds up to 17kg, that's plenty for hardback books or heavier ornaments. Wall fixings are included for secure mounting, and that's important for taller storage units to keep them stable. The wide design gives you lots of horizontal space without needing much floor depth. Arrives flat-packed with clear instructions, and you'll need two people for assembly to make it easier.

Great bookcase
Great bookcase - bought for my daughter’s bedroom and it’s well made, sturdy and looks great. Very pleased.

It's Heavy and as for the instructions...
A different looking bookcase, which comes in two heavy packages. The colour is good and goes with many different shades of oak that you get these days. The instructions are in the format of pictures, which would be easier to follow if the pieces were numbered as with most other flat pack. Many of the pieces have a profile, which is not made clear on the picture book that is the instructions, so it's not the flat pack to build when tired.

Great piece of furniture
Really pleased with this shelving unit. Good quality for the price paid. I turned the unit upside down and used as a shelving unit inside my cupboard. Works really well. Found it a little tricky to assemble.

Weak fastening pieces and wobbles somewhat when built. Ok once in position (don't touch it) but it is also absurdly heavy MDF.

Great storage unit
This is a self assembly unit, and was easy enough for one person to put together. It looks really good and feels sturdy. Good value.

Challenge to build but worth it.
Thought this unit was a bit different so was excited to purchase it. Really pleased with it as looks lovely at the side of my fireplace. I only took a star off as it was quite a challenge to build it but we got there in the end. The instructions were very good and just took a lot of patience but was worth it. The unit is sturdy and a very good price compared to others.

Loads of storage space
Great, big unit. Instructions were easy to follow, loads of space on shelves. The is also enough space between shelves to put in the fabric cubes.

Sturdy, beautiful bookshelf
This bookshelf has exceeded my expectations! It's very sturdy and well made. Putting it together was a bit annoying, but that's to be expected with a flat pack. In the end, it was worth it for such a beautiful piece.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Raymond Wide Bookcase - Oak: 50kg is too heavy for this product, the maximum weight for a shelf would be 25kg which would need to be evenly distributed over the whole area.
