Nice Looking Kettle that boils quickly.
Nice looking kettle bought to replace our older model De'Longhi which stopped working. Does pour a bit slowly but I don't find that a problem. Fits in well design wise with our other De'Longhi kitchen appliances. Reasonably quiet for a high powered kettle.

Reliability!
This is my 5th De'Longhi kettle over 35 years and I love them. My first two were for a gas hob and now I use electric. I could have a tap 'Quooker' but have stayed with the De'Longhi, it 'suits' the kitchen aesthetically as well as being ultra efficient. Out of the five I sold one, passed two on am using one and the other is stored!

The Tefal kettle we had only lasted about 3 years. We had a De Longhi before that and it lasted around 10 years so we’ve gone back to this one.

The Brillante kettle is not brilliant white, no. It does have a cream/ivory tone to it.

Yeah you can. The spout is big enough to do it that way, but obviously not designed for that. Much easier to fill through the top though.

I have checked the instructions and you can use a descaler on this kettle.
If you do not want to use a proprietary descaler I would recommend a solution of one part white vinegar and two parts water. Switch the kettle on, remembering to switch it off just before the boiling point. Leave the solution in the kettle for a while, dependent on the severity of the scale inside and then empty the kettle. Refill with fresh water, boil, empty and repeat this process once more.
