Perfect for me !!
I didn't have much choice, budget wise, so I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this mattress is. For the price, I don't think I would have purchased a different one in my budget range, even if i were instore to choose it. Very impressed !!

Nice and bouncy
Bought for short term intermittent use in holiday home, for older family members. They like that it had bounce, not too firm and was nice and warm. The no turn is fine for its use, and hopefully the thicker underside and lack of moisture trapping foam will help in damp months. will see how it fares over time.

In regards to the Jay-Be Benchmark S1 Comfort Eco Friendly Double Mattress, once you open the vacuum seal we recommend leaving the mattress to expand for a minimum of 24 hours. The longer it is left to expand, the better the comfort level.

We consider end of life when we design our mattresses to ensure they are totally and easily recyclable for the recycling centres. Your local council’s gov.uk website will list the recycling centre closest to you and options for getting the mattress to them. We advise all our customers to use a reputable company if having the mattress collected to ensure the mattress ends up where it should.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised: Let me reassure you that our e-Fibre comfort layers are made from 100% Polyester comprised of polymers that are inherently stable compounds and do not leach. This is why they are used extensively in food packaging, including bottles for water. In the UK, the Food Standard Agency ensures that plastics used for food and drink containers are safe. The recycling process of the plastic bottles we use does not change the composition of the polyester as the products are simply cleaned, flaked, melted, then spun into new fibres.
For your further assurance we chose to develop our e-Fibre comfort layers from polyester to offer a healthier and more environmentally sustainable alternative to many traditional mattress fillings. As well as being 100% recyclable and naturally hypoallergenic, polyester e-Fibre is breathable, helping to keep your mattress fresh and dry, thereby helping to prevent dust mites and other microorganisms from breeding and producing allergens which could trigger allergic reactions. Also, unlike traditional polyurethane foam fillings, Polyester e-Fibre does not expel VOC emissions which we know to be a concern for some people. I hope this reassures you that our product is safe and that we have carefully considered the benefits that e-Fibre Polyester offers over other alternative materials in the market.
