This replaced a very old, frayed Boots (20 years old) electric blanket. Very happy with the 4 setting temperature control handset. Good quality with bright bluish/white LEDs on the handset. Warms up very quickly on max setting. The fleece material could be thicker for greater comfort. Has an automatic temperature control cut off so is safe.

Regarding memory foam, Silentnight mattresses are safe to use with an electric blanket; however, please be aware that memory foam softens when exposed to heat. Allow it to cool fully so it can return to its original shape.
