Warms up quickly.
I purchased this silent night electric blanket a few months back when my older one of another different brand ceased working. It was on offer to which was a bonus. In use this has been fantastic it warms up pretty quickly within a few minutes. I've only ever used it on setting 2 as i find it more than warm enough. All in all the best electric blanket I've owned and over the years I've owned a few.

Excellent purchase if you want a no frills electric blanket that's simple and easy to operate and heats the bed really fast. No need to remember to turn it on well before bedtime - the warm up period is just a few minutes. Very comfrtable to lie on. Excellent value for money.

Our supplier has advised that the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Underblanket - Double is generally safe to use when pregnant. Beware of overheating, any concerns please ask your GP / Midwife.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Comfort Control Electric Underblanket - Double:
"This would be fine, as long as the electric blanket is covered following instructions in the manual provided. However, please note that mattress protectors are designed to go under sheeting, to keep them protected and extend the longevity.
We can only advise for Silentnight mattress protectors. All Silentnight products are safe to use with an electric blanket however other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly. In regards to waterproof or plastic backed protectors, again the Silentnight is safe to use however, if there is a likelihood of an accident we do recommend the electric blanket is switch off and unplugged while in bed."
