Okay but a bit worn even though new
Reasonable build, but item was scratched and had a small piece cut out of it where it must have been previously knocked. To be honest it was more like a second hand item

Good for what I needed
The unit is quite sturdy and easy enough to build and in general it looks good. The only thing, as some other reviews say, there were chips - mainly the on the edges of the wood where its been cut to size when made. It looks like the white veneer has come off leaving rough chipped edges in places so Ive had to put them on certain sides to try and hide them. The unit wasnt expensive though so I guess you get what you pay for and it does the job in my little boys bedroom where hes not so careful anyway.

Does the job
Does what you expect. Putting it together was mainly straightforward, though occasionally the dowels were a bit tricky to push in. One of the panels was discoloured - I think perhaps a printed surface had somehow transferred to it, but not the end of the world.

Poor quality control
The design of the item is good, it seems stronger than the ikea equivalent and fits the same storage cubes. The quality however is terrible. Unboxed the item and there were marks or damage on 6 of the panels and glue overflow from the chipboard meaning making good was required. Spoke to help online about a partial refund as it would have saved a trip back to store, they said to take photos to the store and they would be able to issue a partial refund. A trip to store later and they would only replace it, or parts of a wasted trip and they ordered a replacement for me. Damaged panels were returned for replacement but a reasonable number on the replacement product ordered also had marks and damage, took the best I could home as couldn't be bothered with further trips to store.

I can advise the following for the Squares Plus 6 Cube Storage Unit - Black:
It can be securely attached to the wall to stop overturning; however, you won't be able to attach the whole unit to the wall, this isn't as the manufacture intended and would void the warranty if done so.
