Good looking functional useful bin
I am so pleased that I upgraded to this bin. I was a bit concerned it might be too big for the available space, however it fits very nicely and looks very smart. The sensor is very easy to operate, and it is good that I do not have to touch the bin to open the lid. It automatically close after five seconds however if I want to, I can touch the close button, which means it closes straight away. Definitely worth spending the extra money on.

Battery compartment is on the inside of the lid, you will need to take the lid off to gain access, which may auto open the lid due to the sensor location.

The Habitat 50 Litre Brushed Stainless Steel Sensor Bin will not mark easily. Also as this is a sensor bin you simply swipe your hand over the lid and it will start to open. Then 5 seconds after you've popped your rubbish in the lid will slowly start to close.

“ The bin has been designed specifically with the sensor silent lid mechanism. The sensor can be turned off, but you will need to manually lift the lid. ”

Hi Jay,
The sensors on the Habitat 50 Litre Brushed Stainless Steel Sensor Bin do require power to operate. They run on 4 AA batteries, which are not included with the bin. The sensors will stop working once the batteries run out, but you can easily replace them with new AA batteries.

"There is no inner lift out bucket for this sensor bin. There is a plastic trash bag ring with hole on the rim."
