This rotary airer gives you 45m of drying space outside, so you can hang up four full wash loads and let the breeze do the work. It's got a twist and lock lifting mechanism that keeps the lines taut, and there's a three-position handgrip to tighten any sagging lines when you need to. The steel construction is galvanised and painted so it holds up well outdoors, and there are handy hooks on each arm for hanging clothes on hangers. It's practical, sturdy and does exactly what you need it to without taking up too much space in the garden.
The pole comes in two pieces so it's easier to move around before you install it, and there's a plastic ground socket included to fix it into place. You'll need concrete for installation, but once it's in, it's solid. The central pole is 32mm diameter steel, and the turning circle is 2.45m when fully open. The whole thing weighs just under 4kg, and Vileda backs it with a three-year guarantee. Simple, reliable outdoor drying that gets the job done.

Slightly disappointed
It's ok but not as sturdy as I'd hoped for, not easy to put up and down.

Small in height, impossible to adjust height
Was disappointed in this rotary airer and returned. Capacity looked good but it is tiny in height. I am 5ft 6 and the highest I could get it to go was in line with my eyes. I could see there were two other points it could go to, but neither my husband and I could raise it to the full height and even then it wouldn't have been tall enough. I returned it and bought a different rotary airer.

OK if you are strong but no good for the elderly
This is a well made and sturdy clothes dryer, however I had 2 problems with it. The pole comes in 2 parts which slot together, there is no clip or anything to keep them together so when I tried to raise the arms of the dryer the top came out and away in my hands and I was left struggling with a very heavy umbrella like top part. Also the mechanism for opening the top part was impossible for me because it was so tightly strung I didn’t have the strength as I’m a small woman aged 71. When I tried using both hands the top came off as previously mentioned. It was no use to me and I gave it to a strong male friend who is younger than me and able to use it.

Great size
Big enough for a family to get all their washing out. Easy to put out the in the garden and looks sturdy. Easy to pack away too and can be put up for winter in a shed. Easy to install.

Poorly made - not a patch on the original
I specifically bought another Vileda rotary line, as the one I have at present has lasted well over 10 years. Also I wanted the same diameter pole to fit in the already concreted hole. This line was a complete joke. The lines were sagging, before the washing had been put on. We tried tightening them but then found that the line wouldn't fold down. And it was so much lighter and flimsier than my original one. I took it back for a refund, and have decided to try and restring my old one.

Sturdy line
Good sturdy line, not as big as my previous one but adequate. A little stiff to put up but that’s probably due to it being new.

Hey Bubble,
I can advise that this airer is 182cm when fully extended, without being the ground. The height after would depend on how far you install it into the ground.
