Reviews are true - short and soft
Bought this mattress for my son’s new single bed. It is too short (by about 5cm) and leaves a gap at the end of the bed (which is a standard single bed frame). It is also very very soft which I was not happy with Due to the short length being not as described, I have returned this.

Mattress
There isnt much support to this mattress, luckily my child is only 5 but in a couple of years at the most he will need a new one because the springs just flatten out. Feel like I should have got a normal mattress rather than kids one. My kid asked why its so soft, but he did say it was comfortable.

Way shorter than advertised!!!
This matress is way to short! It's listed as 190cm long to fit a standard single bed, but it was much shorter. We had ordered 2, one was about 5cm too short and the other was 10cm too short! Wish I'd paid attention to the reviews before I purchased. I will say though, the Argos returns process was very efficient!

Great kids mattress!
After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant about the claimed length being 10 cm shorter than described. I am pleased to say that the mattress is exactly as described (190cm). It uses anti allergy fibers and is breathable. The support is a bit softer than expected but being a child's mattress this is to be expected. Needless to say my child loves it and I would purchase it again.

Faulty mattress
Mattress is not the correct size and does not fit a standard single bedframe. Very poor quality, soft with very little support. Returning for refund.

Good price point and came rolled so easy to move upstairs. Not as firm as I had hoped for but my son has had a good nights sleep and says it’s comfortable

Not the size advertised!
This mattress is significantly shorter than advertised - it says it’s 190cm but it’s nearer 179cm and too small for the standard single bed frame it was bought for. It was also left laid flat for a full week to ‘expand’ after removing it from the packaging before putting on the bed frame for use but this made absolutely no difference to the size!

Honestly would recommend!
Only brought them a week ago for my girls bunks …. The girls are talking about how much more comfortable than their old mattresses and better nights sleep have been had!!! I had a quick lie down to check and I was impressed. Loved the fact that I could buy three and all fit in boot as were wrapped up and inflate after opened

Hello Kitty,
No, the JAY-BE Pocket Sprung Kids Single Mattress Damask cover is not made from 100% cotton; it is composed of 100% polyester.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hello James,
The supplier has advised the following for the JAY-BE Pocket Sprung Kids Single Mattress:
The supplier confirms that the mattress size is as stated: Width 90cm, Length 190cm, Depth 18cm. (They did confirm that they allow a tolerance of ~2cm but this still means it'd still always be the stated size or close to the stated size).
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Im not sure why but someones comment was removed about them returning it for being 8-10cms too short. I think this is useful information and shouldnt have been removed. However, I ordered this mine was slightly short but i bought this being replacement for the same mattress and it works for me. The style of bed my son has does have a slight gap from the end of bed to the slats so it really causes no issue. My delivery lady told me to leave for 36 hours open but it does nothing tbh its same
Hi Ive just bought one and its about 10cm short of the 190 advised. Ive now seen this is a recurring problem for customers. Ill be returning it.

Hi,
The comfort layers we use in this mattress are naturally fire retardant and FR chemical treatment free whilst still meeting the required British and European FR standards. The fabric used on this mattress does require an FR treatment, but for your absolute comfort the FR treatment used is a natural salt-based treatment. Furthermore, this fabric goes beyond simply conforming to the statutory REACH regulations, it also meets the strict requirements of the internationally recognised OEKO-TEX® 100 standard, so you can be sure that no chemicals are present that would pose a health risk. Also, as well as only using hypoallergenic materials, the fabric on this mattress is infused with the latest Purotex anti-allergy technology, actively helping to create a cleaner and healthier sleeping environment. Purotex is a 100% natural pro-biotic remedy which absorbs moisture and lowers the presence of dust mites and other allergens, thereby helping to reduce the potential trigger of allergic reactions. It is one of the most innovative and beneficial mattress technologies to help ensure a peaceful night’s sleep, especially for children who have a hyper-sensitive immune system. I hope this helps.
