Hello there,
The supplier has advised the following for the Premier Decorations 1000 Lights with Timer - Multicoloured:
“ The transformer has the control button on it. You can have the lights on static and they will stay on static unless you change them yourself so yes you have complete control of them. ”

An out soor socket has a lid which fully encloses the plug. Anything bigger than a standard 3 pin plug will not fit an outdoor socket as it will not be weatherproof. An inline voltage dropper is required.

Our supplier says "The instruction state indoor only for the plug but that is because we can’t regulate for what kind of outdoor socket the customer may have. All light sets now use the larger (taller) transformers so they don’t fit in many of the older outside sockets. However, if the socket is correctly installed, is rated correctly for outdoor use and the plug fits in correctly then absolutely they can be plugged into that socket. Please note these lights are low voltage so safer than the old 240v style lights"

Hello AI,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised: Yes indeed you can add an extension cable. There is a specific 10mt extension cable designed for these lights that is rated for outdoor use but is not available through Argos.
If using indoors, then of course you can also use an indoor extension as well but not outside.
