Tripped whole house electric circuit on first use
I was so excited to use my new mixer but on the very first use it tripped the electric circuit of my whole house. Same on subsequent uses. I called up the help line and they said they were unable to replace my faulty mixer because I had bought it during the Black Friday sale so I’d have to pay more for a replacement. Instead they sent it for repair which they said would probably take a month or more. So all the Christmas baking I was looking forward to I’m not able to do. I’m hoping when I eventually get the repaired mixer back that it works.

You are never too old .....
At 70 , I'm a 1st time user....but you are never too old to learn a new skill ! Firstly, its a great looking bit of kitchen kit...and who doesn't like something that looks so nice and very retro. My 1st bake was a Bakewell Cake and from the response it was a pretty tasty success. I was amazed at how easy it was to mix the ingredients for the bases and then also for the butter cream icing. I then looked to run a pre Xmas dinner test on mashed potatoes .....what a breeze it was...I was amazed at how creamy they turned out.....no more hand mashing this Xmas for me. I'm really pleased with my purchase.

Broken Product
I received my mixer on 1st December. Unfortunately, I discovered that the product is broken — the tilt-head does not lock in place. It seems the lock handle is damaged or not properly fitted.

Love it!
Got a new KitchenAid stand mixer and I love it. I really like how solid it is and that some of its beauty is in its simplicity to use. I also love how good this gloss black machine looks in my kitchen. I have no doubt it's going to outlive me, but suspect my grandchildren too. Money well spent and I wish I'd bought one years ago.

"The 175psbob has 300W. Our range of stand mixers wattage is between 275 - 500 depending on bowl size. The system within the stand mixer is a direct drive and our KA SM's are more economical to use when compared to a 1000 watt alternative stand mixer model."
