After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Squares Plus 4 Cube Storage Unit: While it is possible to assemble this unit by omitting one of the short dividers, it will invalidate any guarantee, safety conformity etc..  Note that one internal divider spans the whole unit with 2 short dividers running in the other direction.  Also note that if a divider is omitted it will leave visible holes in the panels.

The external sides and top and bottom shelves of the Habitat Squares Plus 4 Cube Storage Unit - Black are all full sized panels therefore it would not be possible to just have one cube on the top to give an L shaped unit.

Having checked I can see this is suitable for use in a conservatory however as this is over 60cm in height it must be securely attached to a wall to prevent overturning (fixings not included).
