Good stool
This stool pretty much met my expectations. I just find the seat not very well padded. Otherwise, it's very sturdy and usable. A bit short, but I knew that before I purchased it.

Small seat
Lovely wee stool seat. Just the perfect height for where I have it and use it. Would recommend for a smaller person in height though as it is low. Bit still love it for myself

Yes, the leg is varnished. You would need to check the instructions for the stain you intend to use - but please be aware by staining this item and altering it you will invalidate the 12 month manufacturers guarantee
