Good finish , value for money , capacity 1 large loaf plus , could do with being an inch or two wider and taller so could take half loaf in use

Attractive and does the job
I bought this to replace a metal bin of similar design and size. Many bins available online have to be assembled, this one is ready to use. A number of reviews complain that it is too small - of course, it depends on the size of loaf. I tend to buy Aldi seeded bloomer loaves which are a bit larger than the usual sliced loaf and the bin accommodates it. Other reviews comment on the mechanism sticking. Wood being an organic material can warp and move, and although when I first got it the door operated very smoothly, I have noticed that the slats can sometimes feel tight as they run very close to the top panel. This doesn't inhibit its operation greatly but is the reason for four stars rather than five. Overall I am happy with the item.

Bamboo Bread Bin was just what I wanted. Size and condition as described, and price reasonable. Collection at my nearest Sainsburys was simple and efficient. I would use this service again.

Poor Quality
Capacity, too small compartment for a standard loaf of bread as it is squashed by the roller door when closed. Also poor manufacturing roller cover sticking. Returned.

The back of the bread bin is curved, so it’s not suitable for wall mounting.

This bin will not hold a normal square toastie loaf without a struggle to close the lid. To be honest, it is not really fit for purpose.

An 800g loaf of bread is approximately 12 x 25 x 14.5 cm; so the Habitat Bamboo Bread Bin would hold one of these easily and perhaps a 400g loaf as well or a pack of rolls.
