First Smart Venture
First ‘smart’ purchase for our home. Bought breach for the kids rooms and will be buying more for elsewhere in the house. The app is really good and installation/set up took about 1 minute all in! Amazing range of colours and functions, the kids love the various colours and being able to change brightness/warmth is so handy. We’ve set a schedule to use them as night lights too. Absolutely recommend, though can’t compare to other brands.

Great lightbulbs!
Typically use Tapo smart bulbs but couldn’t find any for next day delivery so thought I would try the Philips smart bulbs - and so happy I did! Easy to set up! More importantly the Wiz app is user friendly and gives more personalised features than the Tapo app.

I have a ton of wiz bulbs
These bulbs are great, the latest app adds them automatically as soon as they're powered. They're the bargain version of philips hue. I've got about 9 of these in total and only one has failed in the last 3 years. Recommended.

Problematic when using 5 bulbs together
I bought these for a ceiling lamp and had problems with more than 4 bulbs on the same fitting. One bulb didn't register properly and when that was finally sorted then another one deregistered. A real shame as they're really functional. I bought some 4lite wiz bulbs in the end which have worked fine. Maybe this was a specific issue with the bulbs I purchased.

Give Your Lamp Some Diversity.
These bulbs are gorgeous. Why would you just have a plain normal lamp when you can change the mood of your room to an actually theme or just make up your own themes. I love it.

They are the same bulbs, just repackaged to show that Philips is the maker of them. It's a trickle-down effect from the Philips Hue range.

You would need to install the WiZ app on your device as the direct control of the bulbs would be through that. You'd then use the WiZ app to link your Alexa to it via the account you use for the Alexa so it can be controlled that way.

When used with the Wiz app or a compation smart assistant then you can control the on/off function of the bulbs including colour. You can also, if the assisnt supports it, set automations so they turn on or off at specific times.

Only if the fitment is a E14 type. By standard, most ceiling pendants are either E27 or B22 sized fitments.

Hello Ali,
Bulbs are rated depending on how much energy they use to produce light. This bulb is a smart bulb and does use more energy than others however the cost is still minimal as the wattage is only 4.9. These bulbs use 5kWh of energy per 1000hours, which may only cost as little as 0.9p per hour.
