Top of the shop for comfort
Sent my original mattress back on the 100 day deal and purchased this one. Needed new fitted sheets as this one is Deeper. Sleep well no backache or rolling. Need handles on side to assist turning top to bottom imo. No regrets at all.

FIRM AND COMFORTABLE
I bought this a month ago, have slept very well on the mattress while friend were visiting. It's firm AND comfortable and I've had the best sleep in the spare room, and I'm actually thinking of taking up residence there! Also wanted to say delivery was great, I was kept in the loop and notified when the driver was 10 minutes away, perfect service and great mattress.

Great Quality Firm Mattress.
This is a great quality mattress. It is firmer than I thought it would be which I thought would be an issue but I’ve got used to it now and it’s turned out to be better for being firmer. It has a good level of bounce back. It is very deep which gives some very helpful height to my bed. It doesn’t cause me to have pressure point pain like previous mattresses have. If you want a decent firm mattress then I highly recommend this.

Too hard
This mattress is extremely hard despite the pillow top. No good for my back condition although everyone is different. Luckily it is for a spare bed or I would have to have sent it back.

The Miracoil Pillowtop Mattress - Single has a firm feel whereas the eco pillowtop has a medium firm feel. Also the Miracoil Pillowtop Mattress - Single has a micro quilt finish whereas the eco pillowtop has a damask cover with micro quilt finish.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Miracoil Pillowtop Mattress - Single:
“All our mattresses are suitable for slatted bed frames” and they give a list of recommendations for what types of slatted beds should be suitable:
- Maximum space between slats should be no more than around 7cm
- Minimum width of slats should be approximately 8cm to 10cm
- Slats should be secured to bedstead properly to prevent movement of slats
- The entire length of the mattress should be supported by slats, i.e. the slat ladder length should be same as the length of mattress.
They also add this info: “Metal bedsteads with tubular steel bars instead of slats are not recommended, as these do not offer uniform support and can cut into upholstery causing ridges in sleep surface. Please bear in mind the recommendations are given as guidance. However if the gap between your slats is bigger than the slats themselves, then your frame would not offer enough support for a mattress long term”.
