Firm Orthopedic Mattress
I was experiencing lower back pain with my previous mattress so felt it was time for a replacement. Saw this orthopedic one on offer so had this delivered a couple of weeks ago. So far so good it's both firm & comfortable so I'm finally getting a good night's sleep.

Awesome Mattress
I was so stressed making a decision about this mattress a problem thousands of people who have any back issues have to face every time a process of changing anything that might effect lower back sleeping positions struggle with. Will it won’t it etc etc , This mattress is good!!!!!! Firm but with a bit of give for comfort, cool so no sweating good air flow good price good product such a relief 😅 happy will definitely buy again Ho forgot to say you can turn it over 👍

Hello Pat,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Sealy Newman Ortho Firm Support Double Mattress: The Newman Ortho doesn’t feature Edge Guard but the spring unit is framed so support runs right across the full surface of the mattress. For a mattress featuring Edge Guard technology, options include the Sealy Crosswall Ortho Deluxe mattress (117/5099) or Sealy Kingham Ortho Memory mattress (117/6696).

The supplier has advised the following for the Sealy Newman Ortho Firm Support Double Mattress:
"This is not a Pocket Spring mattress. This mattress features Sealy’s Patented Posturetech Core Support Spring system, developed in conjunction with the Orthopaedic Advisory Board. It is a “sense and respond” spring designed to offer support where your body needs it the most. The body of the spring reacts to the individual sleeper and will work accordingly to promote good spinal alignment whilst asleep. It works in a completely different way to a conforming Pocket Spring."
