Bad design and extremely difficult to assemble

Lovely bed
Really lovely bed, looks great especially for the price. Building is relatively easy too just the middle support is too long to fit in and have the holes match up. It look a lot of hammering in to get it to fit. Also the slats all have two screws each to be screwed into the wood which is probably the longest and most annoying part of the building process.

Beautiful bed, terrible service
Amazing bed, honestly. But the Service, deliver, calls, endless chats. Compensation they never end up actually providing for their mess. Pointless. Shop elsewhere.

Very good
Good sturdy bed with solid wooden slats not that soft cheap bendy stuff you usually get nice and low makes room feel more spacious I’m impressed

Stylish and compact
Great double bed frame. Compact design and looks great. Quite low to the ground but that was described and what I wanted. Overall good value for money

Good value for money
Bought for our son. He was keen for an LED bed so instead we bought this and then stuck an LED strip around it. As the bed edge is perfect for this.

Great bed!
I recently purchased the wooden double bed from Habitat, and overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and design. Overall, if you're looking for a stylish, sturdy, and reasonably priced wooden bed frame, this one is a great choice.

Sturdy and aesthetically pleasing
I bought this bed on sale a month ago and have really enjoyed it. It’s very sturdy and the wood is lovely, it’s solid wood. The design is at the perfect intersection of minimalist/danish/japanese. I also enjoy that it’s quite low, it makes my small room feel bigger. Side note for my solo girlies, I built this bed by myself - so you can do it too 💪 You will need a drill (a small one is fine).

Platform bed
My 23 year old son picked and built this bed himself and didn’t have any problems, quite sturdy , it’s nice and he loves it , although a bit low to the ground for us oldies

Hello Stebert,
Our supplier has advised the following for the Habitat Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame -
A 20–25 cm mattress will leave more of the headboard exposed, giving a lighter appearance.
A 25–28 cm mattress is generally the best balance between comfort and aesthetics.
A 30 cm mattress can also be used if preferred, but it will reduce the visible portion of the headboard.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Kerry
The headboard on the Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame - Natural has a very specific method of fixing to the frame which is non-standard i.e. does not use the two strut method found on the majority of bed frames/headboards. Therefore, unless you could find a headboard with matching fixings, this would not be possible with this bed frame.
Thanks for using Q&A.
Hello there. The Habitat Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame measures Size W150, L205 cm. This is converted to W59.05inches or 4.9 feet and L80.7 inches or 6.6feet . I hope this helps.
Thanks for using Q and A.
Hi Mel,
The Habitat Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame has a height of 25cm to the top of the siderail. Adding a 30cm thick mattress would bring the total height to 55cm.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi May,
Yes, a 4ft6 (135cm x 190cm) mattress should fit in a small double bed frame with a width of 137cm. The 2cm difference in width allows for a bit of wiggle room, which can be helpful for fitting the mattress comfortably within the frame.
Thank you for using Q&A
Hi Luke.
Habitat Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame:
Having checked the instructions, the bed can not be built without the legs.
Thank you for using Q&A.
Hi Jules,
Thanks for your query about the Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame - Natural.
The total height of this bed, at the headboard end and including the headboard, is about 680mm (68cm) so it will be less than the stated 80cm that you require here. You would also need to consider the comfort of any user of the bed too when it comes to whether an 80cm gap is OK for your headroom requirements.
Thanks for using Q&A.
