I bought this just before Christmas so that I could bake an apple pie for christmas dinner dessert. It was perfect. It's got a good weight to it, it was nice looking, and just the right size for a proper-sized pie - so pleased I didn't try to use my old tin ones. And I think I got it on sale too.. so the price was right!
I have used this dish once to make a blackberry pie and it was pretty much just the right size for the amount of blackberries I happened to have and amount of pastry I had made. The dish is robust enough and has a slightly memorable design.
I was having friends around for a meal and needed a pie dish large enough to serve six. I already have the dinner service in this design so this was perfect to go direct from oven to table. Pie cooked perfectly ( no soggy bottom) and no sticking.
