These salt and pepper shakers look nice enough but the holes are far too big - biggest I've ever seen! Very difficult to control the flow by covering holes with fingers. Also, the filling holes in the bottom have soft silicone (?) caps which are very difficult to insert and can easily disappear inside the shaker. A total waste of money, have had to buy another set. Do not recommend.
Lovely looking set. The holes are way too big. The salt flows out like a river. I’ve taped over all holes except one and it still comes out fast. For the time being I pour salt in my palm and then sprinkle on food. To protect my heart if nothing else.
I bought this because I'm fed up with my more expensive salt and pepper grinders, which constantly fail! It's back to basics for me, and this is a really good purchase.
I have looked for a long time for white salt and pepper shakers that don't look cheap. These sit nicely in the hand and look lovely on the table. I dropped a star because the salt cellar has two holes, meaning it comes out very fast. I block one hole with my finger when using.
