Disappointing quality and construction
Hoped the previous reviews were wrong but no, genuinely this bed was awful to assemble. Tolerances are much too large in specific areas. Also, we were missing a dowel and a screw hole which we had to drill ourselves and even then it was pretty rubbish. The inner frame support plank was too long and we had to cut it to size. Since building it its been completely fine, no issues with that which is why its got 2 stars instead of the one.

It’s okay…
Absolutely beautiful bed frame, looks lovey in my room. However a few issues; firstly the item was delayed by 2 weeks due to a manufacturing fault and they did not contact me to tell me, so spent a day wondering when my item would arrive, and only got £15 voucher to make up for the delay. Building the bed was as hard as the middle panel was far too long for the frame so we had to sand it down and some of the slats came with not pre drilled holes. Overall I would recommend this bed but be prepared to have a hard time putting it together. Disappointing for its price

Just not acceptable
Absolutely atrocious. None of the drill holes lined up to even fit the nuts on the first stage of build (1 of 15 steps for a bed). All the wood panels were scratched because of packing. I get that this is a £200 bed frame though so you're always going to suffer quality a bit, but theres no way i would've clicked buy if i know i was going to be left with an unbuildable pile of wood and bolts. Immediate return.

Great design, poor quality
It’s a stylish design but it comes with all sorts of defects and scratches from manufacturing. You can tell from the pattern that it’s not a scratch from handling/shipping but rather a machine-caused manufacturing defect. There are multiple and I would have thought it was a one-off issue but my matching nightstand from the same range also has this issue and several other people also mention these same defects. Not sure why they aren’t sorting out the quality with their manufacturer. It’s also a NIGHTMARE to assemble. I had to hire two professionals and it took even them 2 hours. I don’t recommend trying to do it yourself.

Great value for money but hard to build
The bed looks great up, it isn’t too low to the ground which we were worried about, and it is nice and sturdy. However, this took a long time to build, and we weren’t able to put a fair few screws in and holes didn’t line up or weren’t drilled in at all. Despite this is still feels secure.

Nice aesthetic but could be better in quality
Looks good but arrived with some scratches and marks. You get what you pay for so overall would still buy.

Fantastic value
Really happy with the bed. I found the instructions clear and putting it together straight forward, so should be ok for anyone comfortable with flat pack furniture. One thing to be aware of is that it has 26 slats along the base that supports the mattress, each slat has a screw on each side to secure it, so 104 screws just for the slats, which is the most time consuming part.

Great product. Well made .
Attractive looking piece of furniture . Looks amazing . Nice and low to the floor for a much better sleep regime. A floating bed type of feel . Beautiful for my elderly mum who really appreciates the colonial feel . Thank you

Love the bed!
I brought this a month ago and I am so pleased with it, the wood is a beautiful coulour, it's low and suits my vibe so much. Putting it together was pretty simple too, but the pieces don't have numbers on them, so you kinda have to figure that out lol, but apart from that 10/10 would buy again!

Very sturdy
The bed was easy to set up and it’s very sturdy. It is quite low to the ground so you can fit slim boxes for storage if needed.

Hello Stan TheMan.
Habitat Akio Double Wooden Platform Bed Frame - Walnut:
The mattress size of 150cm x 200cm is a KIng sized mattress and would be too large for this bed. You need a UK standard double sized mattress measuring W135 x L190cms.
