Good sturdy piece
Love the look and everything Abt this piece of shelving. Unfortunately it came scratched and damaged in places.

Telephone contact should be available.
Disappointed there is no telephone number to discuss issues. My unit was damaged in an area that could be hidden so we built it anyway as time didn’t allow return. Some compensation would have been appropriate.

Sturdier than expected
Not the easiest thing to put together on your own, but the concept id straight forward enough, just needs a second pair of hands on the odd occasion (I think it does say its a 2 man job in the instructions). The overall quality is great for the price and sturdier than I expected. I was worried about the stability with it not having a backboard, but its great. I got some rather large capacity storage cubes to go into the holes and they fit with plenty of space.

Pleased, but a pain to assemble
I am very pleased with the shelves which I think are of reasonable quality for the price. The assembly instructions were clear. My only gripe is that it was tricky to get all the pegs aligned, and I ended up damaging one shelf and with one of the corner screws not meeting the fastening.

Thanks for your query about the Squares Plus 16 Cube Storage Unit - White.
No, we’d advise against this due to its structural set up. The sides rest on the base panel and the top rests on the side panels so the weight gets distributed down onto the base safely. The dowels that hold all the parts in place would not be as structurally strong as these panels are were you to turn it onto its side. The shelves run the full width from side to side of the unit but, if set on it’s side, the functioning shelves would be the side walls of each “box” section and these are not intended to work as shelving, they’re designed to be dividers only.

Yes, the Habitat Squares Plus 16 Cube Storage Unit - Black is very sturdy, weighing in at 55Kg and the cube design gives it extra strength. Each individual cube section can take a maximum of 10kg in weight evenly spread, but we recommend that the load in the whole unit should not exceed 80kg.

The Habitat Squares Plus 16 Cube Storage Unit is designed to be built without a back panel. As it is part of the design the frame will be stable without a back panel.

Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The chunky outer panels are made from a hollowcore material with MDF skins and thin inner dividers and shelves are chipboard.
The finish is an oak effect paper foil, which is laminated to the panels.

Having checked with the supplier for you I can let you know this unit it not designed to hang on the wall and no fittings are supplied to do so therefore cannot recommend it.
