simple human, it’s a pedal bin
it’s a pedal bin. it replaced my old simple human bin that lasted 10 years. it has soft close and a chromey bit that hides the bag edge. good size for my space.

The new Boss of bins!
I thought a bin is a bin is a bin 🤔 ohhhhhh no it isn’t! The size, the shape and the lid are perfectly engineered to do the job they are supposed to do, but PROPERLY! Bags fit perfectly and are easy to change, lid and pedal mechanism are hard wearing and well put together, and finally it looks good too, worth every penny!

Good quality but very light weight and pricey
I would say good quality and nice shape. However, the bin is very light weight which means it always moves and displaces. At least they put something rubber underneath so that it doesn’t move. Also, also, I find it pricey.

Fantastic New Bin

After struggling with solving this problem myself for the best part of 20 mins with no instructions to be found anywhere online, I can answer this question a little more fully. Hold the lid up and align it with the bin hinge in the upright position and as Dave describes above push the clips and slide it down till it locks. Now turn the bin upside down and pull the underside of the pedal mechanism which should pull the bar at the top of the lid down and allow you to close the lid.Hope this helps

I have spoken to our supplier who have advised as follows:
So we have 2 slim pedals and they are different in terms of how you fit the lids. If yours has a metal rod at the back in the middle just feed the rod through the hole in the lid and snap the clips onto the hinges. If it is the other version there should be 2 small clips on the back inside the lid which can be lined up with the bin and then slotted into place.
