The Habitat 5.3 ls Cast Iron Casserole Dish is built from cast iron with an enamel coating inside and out, giving you even heat distribution and a vibrant orange finish that looks as good on the table as it does on the hob. The generous 5.3ls capacity means there's plenty of room for batch cooking or feeding a crowd, and the tight-fitting lid keeps everything tender and delicious.
It works on every hob you've got, including electric, gas, ceramic, induction, solid hotplates, and halogen, so you can start your dish on the hob and move it straight into the oven. It's oven safe up to 260C for roasting, braising or baking. The durable cast iron construction holds heat beautifully and the enamel coating makes cleanup easier. Great features
I bought it because the reviews and i love the color. It cooks very well and easy to wash. Will be purchasing the pan if i get the right size. It looks very durable and for a family of three its the perfect Size to cook and store food.

No we would not recommend using this on a barbecue. Enamel-coated cast iron (as this product is) can:
Be damaged by direct flame or uncontrolled high heat
Suffer cracking or chipping if exposed to sudden extreme temperature changes
Face discolouration or coating failure from charcoal or gas BBQ hotspots.
