Our Brooklyn day bed is made from solid pine, with chunky top rails and a sturdy frame. It's the perfect sofa by day for reading and playing, then there's a trundle bed underneath which can be pulled out for sleepovers in the evening. It includes 2 Habitat Kids Rae Comfort Open Coil Single Mattress to provide firm support, while fibre filling adds a layer of cushioning. Foam free and chemical treatment free, they have a soft anti-allergy cover to help prevent dust mites, skin irritations and allergies.

Trundle bed
I bought this one month ago, excellent value for money, so easy to put together, really comfortable spare bed.

Great child’s bed
Very sturdy and easy to assemble. I put it together on my own but easier with two people. Very sturdy frame on both main bed and pull out trundle. Mattresses good quality but more suitable for children than adults. All together good value for money.

Umpteen pieces and difficult to assemble
This bed is ideal for my grandchildren, but was difficult to put together. Umpteen pieces to assemble and holes were too small for dowels which kept disappearing and resulted in one part of the bed splitting. The back rail is too flimsy to lean on; it moves as soon as any weight is put onto it. I wish we had purchased a different make as I have since seen another which looks like better quality. Great idea though.

Neat and comfortable
We moved home and needed something for our small bedroom for guests and 2 visiting grandchildren. Assembly was straightforward. Having a 3' single bed with the ability to pull out the second bed is perfect. The quality appears to be excellent value for money. The mattresses are thinner than a normal full size mattress but as the beds are only used occasionally this should not be a problem. First reports of comfort from an adult are positive. I don't know how the mattresses would stand up to daily use. Overall we are very pleased with the bed which meets our needs.

Sturdy, looks great
Amazing sturdy bed, impressed with the quality. The mattresses that come with it are really good as well, quite firm, the children keep saying comfortable they are. Really good value for money.

Good quality bed. Easy enough to assemble.
Great little first bed for my toddler and an adult fits in comfortably too. The trundle is very smooth and easy to pull out. It was easy to assemble with easy to follow instructions. Great space saving bed. Very useful for overnight guests too.

Hello Gdogmomma,
The supplier has advised the following for the Brooklyn Day Bed Trundle and Mattress white:
“ The bed base has been tested with 100kg. pressure from an Ø20cm loading pad 2x 10.000 times on the bed base, with a 10cm foam test mattress in the bed. We use the exact same type of wooden slats in the adult beds we produce for here as well. ”

Hi Mand,
Habitat Brooklyn Day Bed, Trundle and Kids Mattress-White
Having checked I can see there is a lip over the mattress which can be seen in image 4 so it would depend how thick the guard is as to if it will fit down the side of the mattress.
Thanks for using Q&A.

Thank you for using Q&A
Hello there,
After checking with our supplier, they have advised: The distance from the trundle bed slats to the underside of the bedside rail in the daybed is 18,5cm. The mattress is 15cm leaving 3,5cm gap above the mattress. Not 8cm.
The trundle front is 23cm, but the height of the wheels and the slats under the mattress is 4,5cm.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for using Q&A.
