Paper lampshades
Although the shade is made of paper it is a very stiff, thick paper, so does not let the light through as easily as thinner paper ones. When opened it looked huge so returned it to the store. Nothing wrong with it, just not suitable for me.

Easy to assemble and put up
This lampshade was really easy to put up. Be warned it is huge; it looks good, but it needs a big room. Given how affordable it is it looks great. Simple and straight forward, practical and affordable.

Had to throw it in the bin
Struggled to open the rings. When I finally managed that and got the lampshade around the bulb, it was so difficult to close the velcro shut without ripping the lampshade itself, and I'm good at origami. When it was up, there was a big product sticker on the bottom, which ripped the lampshade further when I tried to remove it. Then when I turned the light on, the seams either side were really noticeable. I decided to return it, as it wasn't really functional. But when I was trying to take it off the light fitting, it ripped further and I thought it unlikely I'd be given a refund and so I put it in the recycling bin.

Habitat Kids Yellow Paper Easy Fit Lampshade - 37cm:
Inside the top of the shade you will see a plastic or metal ring adaptor. This adaptor allows the shade to sit on a standard UK bulb holder. Full details for fitting below:
Switch off the light at the wall.
Unscrew the bulb from your ceiling pendant holder.
Slide the shade’s centre ring over the bulb holder.
The ring simply sits on the lamp holder without screws—this is what “easy fit” means.
Ensure it is sitting level.
Screw the bulb back in through the opening of the shade.
Make sure it is secure.

Ive just spent about half an hour trying to get the tiniest pin out of the ring and all of a sudden the other side snaps open. The opposite side of the ring opens with a small amount of pressure by hand. No need for any tools to open the ring.

Hello Jill, our suppliers advise that the room will be brightened up with a sunny burst of orange, so yes it will have a tendency to be orange/yellow in the room where it hangs.
