The Habitat Waterproof Mattress Protector has a soft touch cover ensuring your mattress is protected from sweat, stains and any unwanted spills, prolonging the life of your mattress. The mattress protector has a knitted skirt suitable for a mattress depth up to 30cm. The mattress protector is machine washable and line dry.

I can advise the following on the Waterproof Mattress Protector - Single:
The face fabric is a soft touch polyester fabric, which is filled with polyester. The reverse of the product is polypropylene which makes it waterproof. This would, by your description, make noise and become hot as the polypropylene isn't breathable due to the waterproofing.

The Habitat Waterproof Mattress Protector should NOT be tumble dried.
I have asked for our web team to amend this.

No it says on the back of the packaging it is not suitable for tumble dryer. Looking at the waterproof material I would definitely not tumble dry. Hope this helps
