Good mattress protector
The waterproof mattress protector is lovely and soft for my grandson's bed. It is breathable and is waterproof. It is held firm with elastic sides and is very durable. It is well made and should wash well.

Great Item at a good price
Bought for my little one who has accidents and so far soo good. The protector proctects the mattress, just need something for the duvet now. Does take time to dry so purchased two so can rotate.

Not really waterproof.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be waterproof. My son dropped a glass of water and when I changes the sheets, the mattress was wet as well. Gutted as I bought 2 of those.

Smooth, well padded properly fitted matt protector
When I was looking for a fully fitted single mattress protector, this was the only one in stock, so I bought it even though I didn't need it to be waterproof. On opening it, I was impressed by the thickness of padding and the smoothness and silence of the waterproof layer. Being fully fitted, it lacks the elastic straps that I detest on many mattress protectors and just slips on easily. I can't say yet how well it will respond to washing

I can advise the following on the Waterproof Mattress Protector - Single:
The face fabric is a soft touch polyester fabric, which is filled with polyester. The reverse of the product is polypropylene which makes it waterproof. This would, by your description, make noise and become hot as the polypropylene isn't breathable due to the waterproofing.

No it says on the back of the packaging it is not suitable for tumble dryer. Looking at the waterproof material I would definitely not tumble dry. Hope this helps
