I am happy overall with this product as the beans do not come out when pouring the coffee. Only issue is that it doesn't really press the beans down to release the flavour. I thought this was the reason for the name french press. The pressing stem is too small to reach the bottom. But otherwise a good product. Got it on clearance, so price was very good for the product
Great looking cafetiere got it 50% off even so I would the glass to a tadge thicker. I always worried the glass Jar which is removable by the way, will break when being washed after use.
Read the reviews but decided to purchase anyway and so far so good !
I had my previous cafetiere for probably over 10 years so can't remember where it was purchased, maybe I'm just careful with it as it was used most days. I hope this one will give me a few years service as least
I bought this to replace a large broken one and thought an 8 cup was the right size - my mistake! It obviously fills 8 very small coffee cups, but only 2 normal sized mugs! However, it is fine, I love the copper colouring and for the price it was a bargain!
Was not sure on glass as says do not put boiling w

I was very surprised to read when getting this item that glass could break if put boiling water into it as that’s what it is for a hot cup of coffee. Apart from that it does the job, just have to drink coffee a lot cooler .
