Unsatisfactory
It did not warm up rapidly as stated in the product description. It was only slightly warm after half an hour. As a result I returned it.

Can not sleep without it anymore
I bought it 2 weeks ago and I am so happy with it. Now I don’t have to freeze when going to bed because my bed gets so warm with it. I also don’t have to heat the room anymore because my bed is warm. And it is really soft and cozy to lay on it.

Does the job
I liked the 2 thick elastic strips that go all the way under the mattress to hold the blanket firmly in place. The blanket does not get very hot and you need to switch on an hour before going to bed for it to get warm. Not as thick as another famous make but then it's cheaper.

Great blanket.
I bought this for my my brother's Christmas present. He reports that is very happy to have a warm bed in this cold weather, and particularly likes the timer feature, which means he can relax in the knowledge that it will turn itself off if he inadvertently falls asleep. Good to know it is washable too.

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Slumberdown Perfectly Warm Luxury Electric Blanket - Single: The current standard recommendation is you use the blanket to pre-heat your bed and turn off once you get in.
This is a caution warning to avoid user falling asleep while the banket is still on the highest heat setting.
You can still use a heated blanket while you’re in bed, the warning message is there to make you aware that the blanket should be switched off or lowered to the lowest heat setting before you drift off to sleep.
