Made in Italy, the Ontario oak 50 x 70cm picture frame is a clean-lined, contemporary design that can be hung portrait or landscape. Designed by and exclusive to Habitat, the solid wood frame has a natural, unoiled finish and is available in a variety of sizes, and in matt black or white lacquered wood. The frame sits 1.5cm from the wall and the width of the frame is 2cm.

Lovely frames
Beautiful minimalist frames, with lovely natural wood colour and grain. The back mount is also alot easier to use than the traditional folding pins.

Good value but a bit flimsy
These frames are quite good value but a bit flimsy. The pegs which hold the backboard in place sometimes fall off. As I'm elderly, I have the frames delivered. Usually one in three arrives damaged, and then I have to wait in all day for it to be taken away and a new one delivered, but I guess that's down to the courier.

Having checked I can see there is a hook in the centre of the frame to be used to hook onto a nail. There are two on the back of the frame to enable hanging vertically and horizontally.

The glass display area is the full 50x70cm. The additional 1cm in height and width is the frame on the outside of the display area.

A standard A2 poster is 420X594mm - this frame is suitable for 500X700 mm so it will fit but there will be gaps
