Beautiful but have a drill handy!!
Happy with the product. And it looks great! I would definitely recommend you have a drill handy for assembly as some of the pre drilled holes are not lined up correctly. A screwdriver alone would take some brute force to get them in. 2/3 legs on mine were fine. Must be a bad batch and should be looked at by the manufacturers.

Lovely table but difficult to assemble
Lovely table but very difficult to put together. I’m normally very good at assembling furniture, however the screws provided were extremely difficult to screw into the solid legs. I had to redrill the pilot holes and use my own screws. Once together however, it’s a fabulous looking piece and is a great size.

Impossible to assemble
The design is the only good thing about this table, Impossible to put together, the screws do not fit into the leg, had to drill the holes and it was still very hard to get the screws to fit, don’t even waste your money!

Beautiful Design, Frustrating Assembly
This coffee table looks fantastic once it's put together! The design is modern and the quality of the materials feels solid. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The assembly process was a nightmare. The main screws for the legs were nearly impossible to drive in evenly. They didn’t align properly, and it felt like the table was fighting me every step of the way. Even with a power drill, it was a struggle, and I worried I might damage the legs trying to force the screws in. For a product at this price point, I expected better engineering and a smoother setup. A great-looking table isn’t worth the headache if you can’t assemble it without frustration. Disappointed overall.

Yes, it is OK to sand the wood, to remove the current finish, and then paint over it. We'd have to advise though that doing this would invalidate the guarantee on the item as it'd count as an alteration.
