Two of the straps on the mattress toppers have broken within a few days. The straps needs to be designed differently. Apart from this problem the mattress support is good

Only had this for two weeks, but definitely worth the money. My back had started to ache a little and I was thinking of getting another mattress (I have been through two already trying to find one I liked), but decided to try a topper first. I wasn't expecting it to be any good, but I am pleased to say, my back doesn't ache anymore and it feels lovely and soft as I get into bed. I left the topper in my lounge overnight to let it expand properly. There was a slight smell, but mine wasn't too bad. Be sure to buy deep fitted sheets as you need to allow for the extra depth with topper. The elastic on corners are a bit fiddly to get them to stay in place with a deeper mattress. But all in all, I am definitely happy with this topper.

The Silentnight 5cm Memory Foam Topper is designed to be used with standard double mattresses so may be too large for a small double. The topper will go over the sides of a small double mattress.

It does not have straps despite what the other answer says. Ive just taken one back to store due to the pictures and the answer given to this question. As the one I purchased did not have straps. I then contacted silent night direct and they have confirmed that it does not have them!
