Hello Debbie,

I can confirm this has an automatic safety lock which allows you to lock the blind in place without having to wind it around the wall fitment. The fitment is mainly for winding excess cable.

I fitted mine so the brackets were positioned 10mm or so from the end of the blind. So easy to fit.
