The Silentnight Heat Genie, Self-Heating Mattress Topper features a unique heat reflecting foil combined with a thermal lining and deeply filled quilted top layer to add up to 7.5 tog of extra warmth to your bed. The foil lining helps retains warmth, keeping your bed cosy and warm without the need for electricity, this helps you save money on heating bills. The elasticated straps make this topper easy to fit over your current mattress. The topper is also machine washable which means you can keep your topper feeling fresh and clean for longer.

Comfortable and works as intended
I bought this to replace a electric heated mattress topper that heated up nicely but wasn't particularly padded. My current mattress is not that great and I wanted to be able to add some padding and still stay warm. This does the job perfectly for a reasonable price. Sure, it's not as warm as a constantly heated electric topper, but it insulates very nicely with body warmth and costs nothing to use. It's also a soft and pleasant addition and I can no longer feel the springs of the mattress below me.

Very soft and cosy mattress topper.
I needed a mattress topper and was intrigued by it using body heat to warm the bed, very impressed by softness of the topper and not sure if it gets warm as I have just dropped off to sleep straight away since using it! As someone who tosses and turns this is a bonus and can recommend it if you have trouble getting to sleep.

Warm and comfortable

I have had this on the bed for a few weeks now & can honestly say that it does not seem to have made any difference, so, no, I would not recommend purchasing one.

Comfort and warmth
I bought this a couple of weeks ago but only put it on the bed with the start of frosty mornings and nights. Bliss! The increased warmth was immediately noticeable and it makes getting out of bed in the morning extremely difficult.

Heat without the electric
I bought this after my mam bought one. Got rid of the electric blanket. This topper makes a big difference. Once warm to your body temperature, your as cosy as a bug all night. Highly recommend.

I can advise that this is not an electric heated product, it doesn't read certain temperatures. It features a heat reflective foil that retains heat without the use of electricity.

The Silentnight Heat Genie Self Heating Mattress Topper in the double size measures L193 x W137 cm. A small double bed typically measures L190 x W120 cm, so the double size topper would be too large for your mattress.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Heat Genie Self Heating Mattress Topper - Double:
“ This product cannot be used on top of an electric blanket. We would not recommend using a topper on top of a Silentnight electric blanket, as this may become trapped, and the heat will not be felt through the topper. ”
