Great product. You get what you pay for
Brilliant under blanket. Just 5 minutes and the bed is warm. Set on a timer to came on 7 minutes before bed then it is lovely to get into. Don’t use it through the night as don’t need to. The fleece material keeps warm for quite a while. The temperature on max is very hot. Too hot to sleep with.

Great features
My first electric blanket in decades and they have come a long way. This actually improves the comfort of the bed, it heats up very quickly on its default setting and I like the safety features. Really helps me fall asleep which for a chronic insomniac is very helpful. It has elastic straps to hold the blanket in place. It does ruck up a bit but not overly problematic nor uncomfortable.

Why have I not bought this item sooner?! The dual system means we can each have the temperature on our own side of the the bed regulated to our chosen setting. It heats the bed up very quickly and is easy to use.

Dreamland Scandi Dual Control Underblanket-King/Single is secured with corner straps (as shown on image 7/12 so may not be secure if a single underblanket is put on a king size mattress.

The supplier has advised the following for the Dreamland Scandi Dual Control Underblanket-King:
“ You are able to use a heated underblanket or a heated mattress protector on top of a topper, so long as it is secured to the mattress adequately.
The cushioning benefits of the topper would be diminished with having the heated blanket between your body and the topper though.
There are no safety issues as the blankets have an Overheat Protection System, so in the unlikely event of anything untoward happening; the blanket would switch itself off.”

This can depend on your memory foam manufacturer, but the answer is almost always yes. Electric blankets such as the Dreamland Scandi Dual Control Underblanket-King simply do not get hot enough to damage most kinds of memory foam. If you have an older mattress or mattress cover, though, it’s worth checking with the manufacturer just in case.
