Technical information:
Memory foam is a thermo-sensitive material that softens when heated and firms up when cold; both processes are reversible. The operating temperature of the Dreamland Underblanket will not cause any deterioration of the mattress. In fact, in very cold environments (e.g., during winter, in mountain homes, or in poorly heated rooms), using Dreamland Underblanket may help prevent the natural stiffening of memory foam.

If you prefer, you can place the heated underblanket over the mattress topper and cover it with a sheet. It would be better if the heated underblanket does not come into direct contact with your body. You will still feel the heat even if the heated underblanket is covered.

Dreamland Scandi Dual Control Underblanket-King/Single is secured with corner straps (as shown on image 7/12 so may not be secure if a single underblanket is put on a king size mattress.

The supplier has advised the following for the Dreamland Scandi Dual Control Underblanket-King:

“ You are able to use a heated underblanket or a heated mattress protector on top of a topper, so long as it is secured to the mattress adequately.
The cushioning benefits of the topper would be diminished with having the heated blanket between your body and the topper though.
There are no safety issues as the blankets have an Overheat Protection System, so in the unlikely event of anything untoward happening; the blanket would switch itself off.”
