Takes a while to warm up, uncomfortable bit near pillow area. Love the dual feature, my husband prefers it warmer and I cooler.

Yours and mine
If you use the 3rd setting it’s lovely and warm but the others don’t do enough for me. The main problem for me is the joint where the electric meets the blanket. There is a hard piece of plastic and if you move about a lot like me it’s annoying. I have had to pad it out so that I don’t catch my elbow on it. Don’t want to turn it upside down and have an extension lead dragging on the floor. I’m sure it could be made with the join on the side of the bed and not where you lie on it.

My husband hates to get into a warm bed but I'm the opposite, this is ideal as we can choose to heat one or both sides. It's warms up quickly and has 3 heat settings. The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Comfort Dual Control Electric Underblanket -King:
"Our electric blankets are safe to use with all Silentnight products. Electric blankets should be covered with a fitted sheet and then with a thick blanket or duvet. It has to be covered in order to retain the heat."
On the matter of bedding with gel infused particles in, they advise that: "If the bedding is a Silentnight product, then we can confirm it is safe to use. Other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Silentnight Comfort Dual Control Electric Underblanket -King: ''The dual version has 2 plugs and each side has a plug. The blanket will still work if one side is plugged in and on but only one side of the electric blanket. If the other side remains unplugged, that side will be off.''

This measures W150, L160cm and is suitable for king size bed. A super king-sized bed measures 180cm x 200cm. Therefore, the King size underblanket would be too small for a super king-sized bed.
