For me and my dog
I chose this dual blanket as I have a sausage dog that sleeps in the bed with me so it’s perfect for me to have on high and for her side to be lower heat. What a treat to get in to a warm bed.

Useful for couples who prefer a different temperat
I bought this because my partner and I don't go to bed at the same time. Either one of us can't sleep because we're cooking or one of us can't sleep because we've got into a cold bed. This allows us to both be comfortable. It's very useful, but I don't think it heats up as quickly as the one we used to have. It's also taken some work to free up two plugs so that both controls can be plugged in. This blanket would be ideal for a couple who prefer a different temperature when getting into bed in winter.

Warms the bed up nicely and having the two sides means you can adjust. It has got 2 plugs as a result though, not an issue for me but may be if you have limited sockets.

The connector position is just annoying
Nice and warm. Easy to use and fit. But they always put the connector to far in from the edge so you end up sleeping on top of it. Very annoying. I debated whether to get one size larger for this very reason. I have a king.

I had to change this item from dual control to single control as not enough plug sockets available. It is lovely to get into a warm bed at night and has enhanced my sleep experience.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Comfort Dual Control Electric Underblanket -King:
"Our electric blankets are safe to use with all Silentnight products. Electric blankets should be covered with a fitted sheet and then with a thick blanket or duvet. It has to be covered in order to retain the heat."
On the matter of bedding with gel infused particles in, they advise that: "If the bedding is a Silentnight product, then we can confirm it is safe to use. Other brands would need to be checked with the manufacturer directly."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Silentnight Comfort Dual Control Electric Underblanket -King: ''The dual version has 2 plugs and each side has a plug. The blanket will still work if one side is plugged in and on but only one side of the electric blanket. If the other side remains unplugged, that side will be off.''

This measures W150, L160cm and is suitable for king size bed. A super king-sized bed measures 180cm x 200cm. Therefore, the King size underblanket would be too small for a super king-sized bed.
