An extra 10cm depth provides ultimate cushioned comfort, the quilted cover features internal walls to ensure the gently supportive filling stays in great shape and is always plump.

Not the best choice
I bought it a few weeks ago to improve sleep comfort, but I didnt feel the difference at the beggining and what is worse I actually started to feel aches over the time. Personally, I wouldn't buy it again.

Very comfortable and easy to fit. Thought the side would have had more structure to help keep the full shape for the cost of the product. But so far it’s holding up well and definitely made a huge difference to the comfort when sleeping.

We bought this to put on top of an uncomfortable older mattress. It can't perform miracles but it did improve comfort quite noticeably, for a lot less money than a new mattress. It was also reasonably easy to fit.

The supplier has advised the following for the Silentnight Deep Sleep Ultimate 1000 Mattress Topper -Double:
"This product hasn't been tested for use in this way so we cannot recommend. It may be best to remove and store this away properly when not in use, be wary of recovery times when folded away or any other risks of damage." (So, yes you do need to keep an eye on how it's folded and for how long it's folded too so as to ensure there's no damage during storage).

Having checked I can see you are able to use an electric blanket with this. The electric blanket should be "sandwiched" between the mattress topper and the bottom sheet that you sleep on.
