Ridiculous design
I agree with all the other reviews that it's a ridiculous design to have the minute hand red, but the alarm hand black. Really unintuitive to use, so I'm not using it

The supplier has advised the following for the Analogue Alarm Clock - Black & White:
"This clock no snooze function. The alarm will sound at both AM and PM times when the switch is in the ON position. To de-activate the alarm, move the “Alarm ON/OFF” switch to the OFF position."

Answered first question would like to add button on back of clock when pressed lights up face of clock
Silent tick alarm is good starts off gently then gets louder and ends in a continuous ring quite good gently wakens you up rather than an abrupt alarm if you want to hear the ticking of the clock you have to be 18 inches near as I have perfect hearing hope this helps

Habitat Analogue Alarm Clock - Black & White does not have a moving 2nd hand and the reviews suggest `very quiet tick, almost inaudible!`.
