This bookcase, with its grey wave finish and contrasting oak-effect legs, makes a quirky, stand-out piece. It has 4 shelves, so you can show off all your favourite books. Each one is adjustable, so you can fit everything. The cupboard below contains an adjustable shelf inside to store more books and items. It features push-to-open doors for a flush, handle-less look.

Disappointed
After lugging about 52 kg worth of bits upstairs to build my bookcase, I was ready to start building... Unfortunately I then found that 16 screws were missing from the fittings bags, and one of the MDF side supports was partially split all along the length where the dowel holes had been drilled. Very poor quality control. The customer service chat was helpful, if a bit slow, but I now have to wait 4 weeks for my missing/replacement parts. I just hope that when its built it will be worth it... But some of the reviews make me worry. I'm quite relieved I bought in the sale and not at full price!

Sturdy bookcase
This bookcase is really good quality and very sturdy. I was impressed with how roomy the cupboard is because it looks quite small in the photos. However, it took a long time to assemble because the instructions are so confusing

Nice looking and useful, but unstable
They were a good price, and they fulfil their purpose well and look smart, but they took a while to assemble, and are rather wobbly - the thin backs are a real issue which several people have mentioned. But overall, I saw what I was in for and Habitat had reduced them because of it, so I am pleased!

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for the Habitat Zander Tall Textured Bookcase - White & Oak Effect 705/9281: The height from bottom of feet to top of the door is 78.5cm.
